About us

Ella's Touch got its start with an idea that came to us on a trip through India that we will never forget. India is a place where tradition, craftsmanship, and color come to life in the most amazing ways.  We went on a trip to experience a lively culture, but it quickly turned into a bigger goal: to bring the classic beauty of handcrafted textiles to homes in Australia and around the world.

As we traveled through North Indian villages, we were invited into the homes and workshops of skilled craftspeople. Many of them have been practicing their trade for generations. We were amazed by how much they cared about quality, how well they paid attention to detail, and how each handmade item had a story behind it. There, the idea for Ella's Touch was born: to share these one-of-a-kind, handcrafted items with the world and honor the artists who make them.

What started out as a small collection of hand-block-printed cotton cushion covers has grown into a wide range of home goods and extras.  Our carefully chosen collections now include kantha quilts, ottomans, banjara bags, silk and cotton scarves, leather goods, and hand-made rugs. Each one shows the personality and charm of the person who made it.

Today, Ella's Touch is proud to be a part of a worldwide movement that values being real, lasting, and well-made.  Tens of thousands of happy customers have bought from us, and we've been able to support Indian traditional art forms and help artisan communities grow.

You are welcome to look through our collection and learn about the love, skill, and story that went into making each item.
