No lead. No cadmium. Independently tested.
Most copper sellers simply claim purity. We had ours tested instead, by Eurofins, against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011, and no lead or cadmium was detected.

Common questions
Is this copper bottle lead free?
We had it independently tested rather than just claiming it. Eurofins tested our copper against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.
Is it really copper, or copper plated steel?
Solid copper, with no plating or coating. There is an easy check at home: copper is not magnetic, so a fridge magnet will not stick to it. Laboratory analysis measured our copper at 99.6%, which is commercially pure copper.
