Zero lead detected in laboratory testing
Most sellers just claim pure copper. We sent the copper vessel to Eurofins for testing against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011, and no lead or cadmium was detected.
Nothing to plug in. This is a gravity dispenser, so there is no cord and no plumbing. Fill at the top, pour from the tap.

Quick answers
Has the copper been tested for lead?
Rather than just claim it, we sent the copper vessel for independent testing. Eurofins tested it against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.
How should I clean it?
Hand wash only, and never in the dishwasher. Dishwasher detergent is harsh on copper and will dull the finish. Lemon and salt, or a copper cleaner, brings the shine back.
Is it electrically operated, and does the water stay cool?
It is not. There is no power to it at all, so nothing can heat the water. Copper sheds heat quickly, so the vessel feels cool and the water holds at room temperature. Chill the vessel or add ice for genuinely cold water.
