Questions we get asked

Is this copper jug lead free?
We had it independently tested rather than just claiming it. Eurofins tested our copper against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.

Is it really copper, or copper plated steel?
Solid copper, with no plating or coating. There is an easy check at home: copper is not magnetic, so a fridge magnet will not stick to it. Laboratory analysis measured our copper at 99.6%, which is commercially pure copper.

Disclaimer: Copper is a natural metal and may gradually change colour or develop a patina over time due to its natural reaction with water, air, and minerals—this is normal and does not affect its quality or benefits. To maintain its shine, clean regularly using natural methods such as lemon and salt or a mild copper cleaner. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, dishwashers, and harsh chemicals, as they may damage the surface.

The pitcher is a great size and chills water surprisingly quickly. I’ve also noticed that the water tastes excellent after using it. Overall, I’m very happy with its performance.

My only concerns are with the lid. It sits slightly lopsided, which is a bit noticeable, and the knob on top tends to come loose. The lid itself is also difficult to remove, so I have to pull fairly hard, which often causes the screw-on knob to come off. If you’re someone who pays close attention to small details, the uneven lid may be a little frustrating.

Aside from those minor quality issues, it’s a nice copper pitcher, and I’m happy with the results.

This is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. Well made and very pleasing to look at. Thank you Ella for my lovely water pitcher, it compliments the wood finish and holds a good amount of water.

Beautiful copper jug to match my cups .. beautifully made.. the lids fits on perfectly also

Sadly a couple little dents but otherwise appears to be nicely made.
I enjoy drinking the water from it.
