Common questions

Has the copper been tested for lead?
We had the copper vessel tested independently instead of simply making the claim ourselves. Eurofins tested it against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.

Why has the copper darkened inside?
Darkening is normal on any uncoated copper vessel, because copper reacts with water and air. It is not a coating wearing off, because the inside is bare copper. Lemon and salt, or a copper cleaner, restores the shine.

Is it electric, and will it make the water warm?
There is no element and nothing to plug in, so nothing heats the water. Copper carries heat away rather than trapping it, which keeps the vessel cool to the touch and the water at room temperature. For cold water in summer, chill the vessel or drop ice in.

Disclaimer: Copper is a natural metal and may gradually change colour or develop a patina over time due to its natural reaction with water, air, and minerals—this is normal and does not affect its quality or benefits. To maintain its shine, clean regularly using natural methods such as lemon and salt or a mild copper cleaner. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, dishwashers, and harsh chemicals, as they may damage the surface.

16L

I ordered the 16L and its a beautiful piece. Shipping took awhile but was given updates about why. When received it nicely packaged but once out of the box there were a few noticeable dents on the outside body, the inside was good. But I'm still happy that I have this copper dispenser for my whole family. We all drinking from it. And I would buy again.
