What people want to know
Has the copper been tested for lead?
We had the copper vessel independently tested rather than just claiming it. Eurofins tested it against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.
Is the vessel really copper, or copper plated steel?
The vessel is raised from solid copper sheet, with no plating or lining. An easy check at home: copper is not magnetic, so a fridge magnet will not stick to it.
Is this an electric dispenser, and how cold does the water get?
It is not electric. Nothing plugs in, so nothing warms the water either. Copper conducts heat quickly, so the vessel stays cool to the touch and the water holds at room temperature. Chill the vessel or add ice if you want it properly cold.
