Measuring for a bench under an overhead cupboard? Use the stand figure, and allow a little room above for filling. Each piece is raised by hand, so expect slight variation.
Things people check first
Has the copper been tested for lead?
The copper vessel went to an independent laboratory rather than relying on our word. Eurofins tested it against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.
Is the vessel really copper, or copper plated steel?
There is an easy check at home: copper is not magnetic, so a fridge magnet will not stick to it. The vessel itself is raised from solid copper sheet, with no plating or lining.
Does it need power, and does it heat the water?
No power, and no heating. There is no element and no cord in it. Copper is a fast conductor, so the vessel sheds heat rather than holding it, and the water sits at room temperature. If you want it cold in an Australian summer, put the vessel in the fridge or add ice.
