Is this copper bottle lead free?
We had it independently tested rather than just claiming it. Eurofins tested our copper against European food contact regulation EU 10/2011 and lead was not detected. Cadmium, mercury, nickel, arsenic and chromium were not detected either.
Why has the copper darkened inside?
Copper reacts with water and air, and darkening is normal on any uncoated copper vessel. It is not a coating wearing off, because there is no coating. Lemon and salt, or a copper cleaner, restores the shine.

It is so shiny and beautiful, the filter water I put in it stay naturally cold from the copper.
I am very happy I didn’t know how beautiful copper is.
I love my bottles especially with the old fashioned hammer look. Now I just need to find matching cups. I have been using my bottles only a short time but I already have noticed a difference in my digestive health and I love the taste of the charged water. Copper should have never been removed from societal usage.
